About Koerner
Koerner is a partnership between two brothers, Damon and Jono (Koerner), whose parents own an old vineyard in Clare. Their wine showcases two regions, Clare Valley and Adelaide Hills. Both areas are climatically unique and produce distinctly different wines. Their aim is to produce light, fresh, textured and well-structured wine with high drinkability.
Production note
85% Cabernet Sauvignon and 15% Shiraz. 100% destemmed, retaining around 50% whole berry with no whole bunch. Open ferment for 2 weeks, hand plunged twice daily. Slavonian oak Foudre for 12 months, then racked to stainless for 3 months. Unfined, unfiltered. 780 dozen made.
