Karatta Wines is located in the Robe region with an extensive portfolio of estate grown wines. They are committed to the production of ready to drink and age-worthy wines that authentically reflect the maritime climate: characterized by lithe, elegant reds and crisp, snappy whites which are typically less bombastic than wines from the warmer growing regions of South Australia.
Production note
75% Shiraz 25% Cabernet. Estate grown on vines planted 1997-2003. Most of this is 2020 vintage, with about 40% from 2021. Varietals are fermented in tank, then blended and aged for 6-18 months in old barriques and hogsheads. Secondary fermentation in tank (charmat) for three weeks. 20.5 g/L RS.
